ORCHES TRIO ZURICH AND CAMILLE HUYEN

Formed 1985, Orches Trio Zurich with Noriko Kawamura – violinist; Fumio Shirato – double bassist; and Walther Giger –guitarist applies extreme precision and an experimental mind to its interpretation of both traditional and contemporary  music. Orches Trio’s repetoire includes new interpretation of compositions from various centuries any styles (eg. Those of Rossini, Gluck, Barto’s and Zappa). Orches Trio Zurich also expands their performances to multimedia productions of Walther Giger such as “Exchange East-West”, “Japanese Tales”, “Yuhi no Mimi”, “Tsunemasa” and “Traumstadt”.

Camille Huyen, singer


 

Born in Hue, Vietnam, in 1986 Camille Huyen started singing in the dancing restaurants in Paris when she was student and continued it after her studies until 1996. Since 1996 Camille has been living in Switzerland. She began to paint with the “push” of the Vietnamese painters Trinh Cung and Vinh Phoi. Nevertheless she has always participated in the musical recitals organised by the Vietnamese communities in France, Germany, Italy and Switzerland for caritas purposes.

Since 2004 Camille has been learning guitar classic with Walther Giger and last year she presented Vietnamese and Swiss folk songs at banquets of Vietnamese Embassy in Switzerland with her teacher Walther Giger.

From 2006 to now, Camille Huyen and Orches Trio Zurich are working on the CD album Art-Songs of the Vietnamese composer Cung Tien and 1 song of Walther Giger (Vietnamese) with Walther Giger’s arrangement.

The collaboration of Orches Trio Zurich and Camille Huyen will create an interesting programme of classical and modern music in Hue Festival 2008.
