Special session on “Information Hiding and Security in Communications: Recent Developments”

Special session on Information Hiding and Security in Communications: Recent Developments will be held in conjunction with the 5th International Conference on Communications and Electronics (ICCE 2014).
For many decades, security and privacy are always important issues in any society. It is getting more important in the digital society where communication environments are developed in a way more openly and publicly while the amount of exchanged data required to keep secure and private is growing at a heady pace. Moreover, that is a real challenge to the research community on security and privacy while an increasing number of encryption methods have been broken by exploiting various aspects of encrypts, from mathematical analysis to observation of change in physical parameters. Many recent developments in security and privacy have been proposed to countermeasure attacks on encryption. In particular, chaos-based information hiding and security have been widely used in the image and video systems. To pace with the development of breaking techniques, there are many anti-broken methods developed in diverse ways such as algorithms, techniques, structures/configuration, protocols, etc. Even though, recent developments for the purpose of security and privacy are successful in limiting intruders, yet there has been no method to radically eradication. The special session on Information Hiding and Security in Communications: Recent Developments is to dedicate for presenting recent developments in the field of security and privacy. Information about contribution of recent developments will be discussed by researchers and experts working in academia, industry and governance related to this area. The prospective works to the Special Session should focus on any aspect of security and privacy. Topics and technical areas of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Cryptography
- Cryptanalysis
- Steganography
- Watermarking
- Chaos-based Information Hinding and Security
- Security methods for communications
- Authentication
- Protocols for security
- Standardization
- Implementation of security systems: software and/or hardware
Submission
All papers should be prepared in the form according to the IEEE standard template, in Portable Document Format (PDF) and must be limited to six pages, including text, references, tables and figures. Papers should be submitted online at http://edas.info/newPaper.php?c=15665&track=50351.
Publication
All accepted papers will be published in the ICCE 2014 Conference Proceedings and IEEE Xplore®. The proceedings of ICCE series is indexed by SCOPUS and listed in Conference Proceeding Citation Index (CPCI) of Thomson Reuters.
